From what I've read in the forum the BNO055 and BMF055 are exactly the same component hardware-wise (correct me if I'm wrong). I was wondering if there's a difference in the sensor output when operating the BNO055 in non-fusion AMG mode vs the sensor output of BMF055?
Thanks,
The data is AMG mode is not processed. The only difference is the slight loss in resolution due to scaling, and a bit of latency.
For example with BMA280, the resolution is 2g range is 0.244mg / LSB. But in BNO055, the resolution is fixed to 1.000 mg / LSB
It does make it easier to agjust the range without changing your algorithms though.
Thanks for the reply,
So in comparison to the BMF055, the data is exactly the same? Is there some FW layer that is different between the two in this regard (when BNO is in AMG)?
