Hello,
In order to make the calibration time shorter, I save the state well calibrated when IAQ accuracy=3, then I restart the BME with this saved state. Restarting with this saved state, the first data received when IAQ accuracy=0 will be the same data when IAQ accuracy was 3. Then after 5 min, the IAQ accuracy changes from 0 to 3 suddenly. And if we restart in a different environment where air is cleaner, IAQ value will decrease even when IAQ accuracy=0.
My question is can I consider that the BME is calibrating when IAQ=0 and when IAQ value decreases? So that when IAQ accuracy reaches 3 again after 5 min, the BME is already calibrated during this 5 min? Because without a saved state, IAQ doesn't change and I think IAQ accuracy=0 means only a start state.

Hello Charlotte,
Similar. IAQ accuracy 0 means the sensor is not yet initialized. Therefore, you can't get some bVOC or static IAQ.
IAQ accuracy 3 means that calibration is done, so you can get IAQ value within data sheet.
Normally, calibration takes longer than 5 mins without saved states, however with it, it is faster.
Therefore, for your question, I'd say that you can't get proper IAQ data when IAQ accuracy is 0 🙂
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
