we are now using BMX055 but we realized that we can do our application by using only accelerometer instead of BMX055. The software is ready but now we want to replace the IC by one accelerometer 100% software compatible. We used the driver suplied by Bosch which is a 3 driver set for bmx055 and for the accelerometer part it is called bma2x2.
In the web, we saw that there is an ic bma222e which matches the driver name bma2x2 however it is not available for new designs and it is 8bit resolution instead of 12.,, so we are a bit confused.
Can you tell us if is there any accelerometer 100% sofware compatible?
We saw there is a bma253 ic which seems pretty similar, is this replacing bma202? which are the differences?
If possible, I would like to receive some summary information about technical differences between all accelerometers in the portfolio in a way we can also better understand the differences between them and the optimal one for our application. This is in case there are more than one software compatible otherwise we can also judge to modify the software if is there technical or cost benefit for any of them.
