BHI160B or BHI260AB

Hi,

for our application we are lokking for a smart sensor solution and we consider to 
use BHI160B or the new BHI260AB.

At the first step we don't want to adapt the firmware by ourselves and we currently don't need
the processing power provided by BHI260AB.
So, the BHI160B would perfectly fit into our application.

However we are unsure whether it is better to use the new BHI260AB as it is new on the market  and
availability will be ensured for the next years. Pricing  and power consumption are not so much different and thus not our major concern.

The big question is: Is there an estimation how long the BHI160B will be still available, as it is already on the market for some years?
Would you recommend to use the BHI260AB for new designs?

There is no end of life plan for BHI160B. 

BHI260AB is also not target to directly replace BHI160B since BHI260AB have more capability for customize.  So it can be used in different use application like machine learning area. 

In your application,  you don't suppose to change the FW of our smart sensor,  so i will suggest you to use BHI160B directly.
