BHI260AB standalone mode

I am in need to implement BHI260AB in standalone mode. I have a few things to clarify regarding this,

1. What are the steps I should follow in configuring? (Datasheet provides fewer instructions about this)
2. Any PCB schematic?
3. Can I use only the shuttle board set  BHI260AB for prototyping (I am a university student so can't afford both the shuttle board and Sensortec development board  )

I highly recommend to purchase both for bring up. This is the easiest way to set up.
