We are using bma400 sensor in the wrist band. The sensor is using the default wrist configuration for step calculation.
The step error of the sensor is about +- 20 steps for 800 steps. Even in stairs the error is about +- 5 for 50 steps.
If the steps are small the error is more.
What is the accuracy of the step counter for 1000 steps?. Is there Any other configuration for step counter for wrist ?
You could adjust step counter configuraton parameters according your applicaton requirement.
There were step counter configuration parameters started from 0x59 register address, they were not published in BMA400 official datasheet.
If you have any further requests, please visit https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/about-us/contact/contact-form, and use the contact form to submit your request.”
There are two alogirhtms we offer.
We can check it page 43 in our bma400 datasheet.
Accuracy could vary because of your bma400 location and test condition.
However, if you want more sensitive algorithm, please use "non-wrist" and if you want not sensitive algorithm, please "wrist".
From my side, accuracy is for non-wrist is around 97~8%, but not official data.
