Hi,
We plan on using the BMA425 with single tap detection, is there any way to create a config file for our use case ?
There is also seems to be no API available for the BMA425. Can the API for the BMA423 (https://github.com/BoschSensortec/BMA423-Sensor-API) also be used for the BMA425 ?
Best regards
Hi smiller,
BMA425 and BMA423 haven't integrated TAP feature, you could use BMA456 which has supported TAP feature with configuration file.
The datasheet we have for the BMA425 clearly states that tap detection is supported (attached is a screenshot of the datasheet with the relevant information). Is the datasheet maybe incorrect ?
Thank you for the advice about using the BMA456, however, considering the still ongoing semiconductor shortage, it will likely be complicated for us to change now.
Hi smiller,
Sorry for previous incorrect reply.
After check, BMA425 supported TAP feature, but the sensor API was not officially released.
If you design a project with BMA425 and have stock from official distributor, you could apply for BMA425 sensor API from our official distributor.
