Having used the BMA250 and BMA400 device in the past, primary for detecting motion, using the 'any motion' feature and registers, we are now designing in the BMA456.
The any motion register set at 0x5E - appears now under 'features in' and is documented under 'wearables' and 'hearables'
Looking at the API examples for motion you appear to have to send a 6K configuration file.
What is the purpose of this file?
As it not used in our previous devices, can it be omitted? i.e. can we just write to 0x5E as a standard register?

Hello pete_waddy,
BMA456 had more features than BMA250 and BMA400. More features needs more memory size, also provids flexibility to extend more features. Configuration file for BMA456 is an algorithm that supports different features, which is placed outside the sensor and requires MCU to load the profile.
0x5E was not standard register. The operation of 0x5E register should follow the operation format.
