BME280 GPS Enhancement

The BME280 can be used in applications for GPS enhancement (e.g. time-to-first-fix improvement, dead reckoning, slope detection), as described on https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/bst/products/all_products/bme280. 

Is there additional information and/or best practices available to use the BME280 for GPS Enhancement?

Please find attached an Application Note describing some high-level application hints for pressure sensor based GPS navigation enhancement. Although our BMP38x family is mentioned, they generally also apply to the BME280 and its built-in pressure sensor.

Note that we unfortunately don't provide any reference design or code.
