BME280 humidity sensing in N2, O2, CO2 and AR

We are trying to get humidity data from N2, O2 and Ar to check its dryness. Will BMW280 work inside N2, O2, CO2 and Ar?

Can BME280 humidity sensor  work inside other gases than air? If yes will the accuracy change (especially in gases N2, O2, Ar and CO2) ?

Hi mKopru,

Normally, the humidity data of BME280 in datasheet are tested in normal air environment, and the normal air including the N2, O2, Ar component.

BME280 to detect the environment humidity, which mainly relative to H2O percentage.

Let me be more clear. We filled the chamber with  99%  or more  N2 or Ar or O2 or CO2 and I want to measure the humidity .

Will the BME280 work properly like it works in the air? Will the ratings on the datasheet still be same?

There are also different gas components in the air, which are similar in nature.
