I have a query regarding the BME280 sensor. I would like to know if it contains a memory to save the measured data by the sensor. I would like to use this sensor powered by a battery without any microcontroller and let it log environmental data for a certain period of time. After this time period is elapsed, I would like to retrieve all the measured data by using a microcontroller. I tried going through the datasheet but couldn't find the required information unfortunately.
Thanks in advance. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for your inquiry.
Unfortunately BME280 is just a pure sensor that can measure temperature, humidity and air pressure. It doesn't have its own internal memory to store these measurements. In addition, after power on BME280 will be in sleep mode by default doing nothing. There must be an external microcontroller to configure BME280 and then read those measurements from BME280 through either I2C interface or SPI interface.
