BME280 statistical distribution of sensor readings within the guarated accuracy limits

According to the data sheet the Bosch BME280 sensor is specified having a temperature accuracy of +- 1degree Celsius and a humidity accuracy of +- 3% . I assume there exists a statistical distribution of the sensors being produced and those which aren't within certain limits (3 sigma or something similar for instance) are defined as out-of-spec parts. Please could somebody tell me which criteria are applied to characterize good parts and which distribution one has to calculate with?
