BME680 - How often can the sensor be polled without endangering it?

Can I poll the sensor once a second for a long time without risc to endangering it?

with our BSEC lib,  we put sensor in force mode and trigger the measurement every 3s (LP mode) or 300s (ULP mode).

But actually, you can trigger sensor measure more offten just make sure you wait for the measurement to be finished which normally in ms level.  

1s interval have no impact on sensor
