I am currently trying to use the BME680 gas sensor to measure air resistance. After reading through the sensor datasheet I saw that one can configure the heater plate temperature and duration for gas sensing. Is the proper selection of these parameters required to receive accurate gas readings? What is the standard configuration of these parameters? Is the standard configuration the best to use?
I am trying to use the air resistance measurements of the sensor to measure CO2 concentrations air during mechanical ventilation. I know that Bosch also offers a CO2 equivalent output parameter but this did not seem to work when being confronted with higher concentrations of other gases like O2. My goal is basically to map air resistance values to CO2 concentrations and measure CO2 in that way. I hope that is an adequate explanation:).
