BME688: BME68X error code : -3

Hello,

i use the BME 688 Adafruit Brakeoutboard with the Adafruit32 Feather Board with Arduino IDE. 

The sample code I use to read humidity, pressure, ... can read, works fine. 

But when I try to upload the bme68x_demo_sample from the BSEC2 libary, I always get the following output on the Serial Monitor: BME68X error code : -3

What does this mean and how can I fix it?

Hi Andi104,

bme68x_demo_sample is the example code run only under BME688 dev kit.
You can use https://github.com/boschsensortec/Bosch-BSEC2-Library/tree/master/examples/generic_examples for your hardware.

Hello BSTRobin,

thanks for your reply. I have tried the different examples, none of them runs....  I have also tested the different connection types (i2C and SPI), leads to no success either (error cocde : -3, some examples -2). Example from Adafruit is running. Can read the gas raw values.

Today I tried the bme68x_demo_sample with the dev kit. It doesn't work with it either.

Any other ideas what i can try?

Hi Andi104,

Please use the previous recommended generic_examples for your hardware with one BME688.
