BME688 Usage for Outdoor Air Quality

Hello,

I am designing the BME688 for an outdoor air monitoring use case. 

I understand the BME688 outputs an indoor air quality index. Can I use the sensor for an outdoor air quality monitoring solution as well? Could the sensor's data be used to potentially give a 'poor, fair, good and excellent' air quality reading, or something of that nature? Obviously it is missing ozone and air partuculate readings, but can simple VOC reads give any indication of outdoor air quality?
