BME688 and ESP-IDF Problem

Hello everyone,

I was requested to make a modification to an already existing project (not mine). The modification in question is to substitute one of the sensors for a BME688.

I am using BSEC 2.5.0.2 and believe I have successefully integrated all the necessary files into the project (I use VS Code). Using a mix of examples here from the foruns and others places, I have tried to get the intended readings from the sensor like IAQ and temperature but I have not yet been successeful.  In fact the BME688 initialization fails.

I have attached the relevant project files and seek help on what I might be doing wrong as I am not the most experienced person in C/C++.

Hello, if someone more experienced than me can help I would be very grateful, I have been hitting against this wall for some time : D

I have witched to BSEC 2.4.0.0, and made some modifications to the main file. I am now able to configure and connect to the sensor and get some readings although the iaq, c02 eq etc are always at 0.

Again, sorry for my inexeperience, but could use some help into looking at my mistakes.
