I've been reading through the BME688 datasheet and the BME68x API and am confused about the purpose of the Gas_wait registers. From what I can tell, the res_heat values are fully calculated using a target temperature and the sensor parameters. If this sets the target resistance for a target temperature, what is the purpose of the gas_wait register? Does it take a significant amount of time to heat up and therefore other values (TPH) can be evaluated during this period?
