We have designed our product using the BMI090L for it's impressive performance and 10 year availability. We manufactured an quantity last year before Bosch added the note 'Production quaternities available Q3 2022. I am now very concerned to see that the part has been removed from the Bosch website entirely. Please can someone from Bosch clarify the situation.

Any news or updates on the BMI090L?
I find it very unforgiving that all information about a long-term supported devices which was in production (for what 1-2 years ?) suddenly disappears. What is the reason for this?
Why should we trust the continued support for BMI085 or BMI088?
We're certainly looking elsewhere than at BST for the future.
The BMI090L will be / has been discontinued. We will be using the BMI088 which is a drop-in replacement with the exception that the application firmware must use the BMI088 API. The BMI090L and BMI090L have identical register maps but cannot share the same API because different binary data must be loaded during initialisation.
I agree that the lack of transparency from Bosch is extremely frustrating and I really hope they improve this. However, the performance of Bosch parts is so much better than competitor's that I have felt it worth the time taken to obtain clarification, and the risk of a vague product life cycle. I have no affiliation with Bosch or motivation to convince to use BST devices. I am just sharing my thoughts on our similar situations.
