Hi
My company is considering integrating the one of the IMUs into our product. May I know if there is any data on the estimated service life and annualised failure rates on it?

Can you tell me bit more about the project so that i can help you to pick up the sensor which fit for your project?
Do you need like 10 years service time for the sensors?
the annualise failure rate number is protected by NDA. So you need contact your local FAE to go through such kind of data.

Project: It is a bracelet with a BMI and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) that send data every 20 msec
(better faster). The unit has a battery. This requires the lowest possible energy consumption. The position, speed and acceleration are calculated from the sensor values. Gesture recognition is not used.
Service time: 3 years are enougth

Then BMI270 is the best fit.
It has some feature like step counter tuned for wrist position.
And 3 years should not be a problem.

The BMI160 and the other types have a service time and last order of at least 3 years?
