Hi Team,
We are using the BMI160 for IMU application in our device but discovered its ability to sense the temperature. I am curious to know if there are any validation documents for detecting the human skin temperature. What approach do we follow for validation? Do we need to follow a similar approach as shown in the video below by TI:

Or can we place the BMI160 directly on the skin for longer durations? (Is it bio-compatible). Please revert my request to the concerned personnel. We need to address this issue as soon as possible.
Thanks and Regards

Hi Sir:
BMI160 temperature sensor can't be sensed the temperature, this feature is only for internal TCO or TCS compensation.
If you use it for external temperature, deviation and accuracy is not known and don't get a stable offset. It means the deviation is always stay and can't be fixed with an offset or some offsets calibration to compensate.
If you want to use temperation sensor, bme280 and bme680 are be recommanded.

Thank you.
