Trying to dig into a BMI270 gyro issue, I am facing an undocumented register at offset 7B. Does anyone know what this register is about (especially its bit 0)?
Note: maybe-related issue I am working on is a gyro noise handled by its dedicated thread. If of interest, this thread contains full register dump involved.

Hi aloiseau,
Thanks for your inquiry.
As described in the BMI270 data sheet, the 0x7B register is reserved and not publicly disclosed.
Have you encountered any problems during the use of BMI270?

Hi,
I did not cross issues using BMI270 basically, but I am facing gyro noise on a subset of products embedding BMI270. I created a dedicated thread for the issue (here is the link). Trying to dig into differences between noisy pieces and not noisy pieces I saw register 7B value difference, therefore I was interested to know if this undocumented bit difference was providing hidden details like an error code or a different execution mode.
It worth to be noted that factory sent me few noisy product for analysis but despite the vast majority of product being not noisy I have no that many non-noisy products around therefore I only compared a not noisy product with a noisy one for now. I can't say if register 7B value follows the noise. I can only say its bit 0 has been seen as 1 on a not noisy product and as 0 on a noisy product.
