BMP180 calibration coefficients read 0xFFFF

Hi,

We are using BMP180 Pressure sensors connected to PIC controller(PIC24F) Via I2C.
The sensor's calibrations coefficients read 0xFFFF.What could be the reason for this as the datasheet says the Coefficients should not be 0 or 0xFFFF.

I would triple check the I²C implementation. Can you read the correct Chip ID ?
