BMP180 temperature measurement technology

I am a physics student at the University of Naples Federico II. For my thesis work, I am using the BMP180 sensor. I would like to know what type of technology is used for the temperature sensor in your sensor. I couldn't find any information about it in the component's datasheet.

BMP180 has been discontinued and is not recommended for use.
If you would like to use barometric pressure sensors, you can refer the latest product information from https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/products/environmental-sensors/pressure-sensors

I know this, but I'm interested in the technology used to measure temperature. The same question could be asked for the BMP280. In this case too, there is no information about it in the datasheet. Please forgive my English, thank you.
