I would like to know if I can replace BMP388 sensor with BMP384 sensor.
I have a board with the BMP388 pad layout but in this moment BMP388 sensor is no longer available on the market and therefore I see that BMP384 could replace BMP388 sensor. BMP384 pad layouts is sligtly different from BMP388 but I think that BMP384 could be soldered on the BMP388 layot because the two sensor are pin-to-pin compatible, is it true? Also for performance both sensor are very similar.

Hi,
Thanks for your inquiry.
BMP384 is water-resistant. So its pad size of 0.27 x 0.285mm is a little larger than BMP388's 0.27 x 0.25mm.
In order to replace BMP388, you can choose BMP390 which is pin-to-pin compatible with BMP388 and the pad size is also the same. BMP388, BMP384 and BMP390 share the same API code on the Github at https://github.com/BoschSensortec/BMP3-Sensor-API. BMP390 can be purchased at https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Bosch-Sensortec/BMP390?qs=sGAEpiMZZMv0NwlthflBi1BC1g8rC9UGRBLSi....
Thanks.
