BMP581 decoupling capacitors

Hi,

I couldn't find any info in the documents (datasheet...). Are decoupling capacitors necessary near VDD and VDDIO (ex. 100nF) ? 
What is the furthest those capacitors could be from the BMP581, is 6mm acceptable ? The reason for this question is that we have mechanical contraints on our product.

Hi JR_BRIGHTS,

We recommend placing decoupling capacitors at the power pins VDD and VDDIO, and keeping the capacitors as close to the power pins as possible.
