Question 1:
We are using your sensor BMP581 in an application and we wonder if the sensor will break if we apply vaccum to it. We will need a production process step of vaccum with the sensor in our product. We understand that sensor measures down to 30 kPa and not below and we will not measure with the sensor in vaccum but will the sensor BMP581 cope with with a process step using vaccum without breaking?
Question 2:
How sensitive is the sensor to water if we will have small drops of water entering into the small holes in BMP581 sensor package? Will it immediately break? and what is the failure mode? (we tested the sensor with pure distilled water entering the two small holes and the sensor stopped working for a while then it was possible to communicate with it over the I2C link but sensor values seems to be corrupt now)

Hi BengtB,
1.The sensor will not be damaged in a vacuum environment;
2.We do not recommend dripping water into the sensor orifice, refer to the HSMI documentation for instructions.
