BMX160 Step Counter Configuration for Body Position

Hi,

We want to use the step counter feature in the BMX160. We find it works well when the sensor is placed in the trouser pocket area, like a smartphone, but our application requires the sensor to be placed elsewhere on the body. We found it was hard to achieve step counting when placed there. 

I saw in another forum post, an NDA is required and we can obtain info about how to configure the STEP_CONF register beyond the 3 given presets (normal mode, sensitive, robust).  Can I get in touch with a representive about this?

Where do you want to put the BMX160 on the body?
You could set the BMX160 step counter to sensitive mode and do the test again.
