Hi all,
I have a design with a BMX160 that needs to stay idle for potentially long periods of time, only becoming active after a motion interrupt. I can successfully set the unit to generate 'any motion' interrupts with the accel in normal power mode, however when I put it into low power mode the interrupts are no longer generated. Is it possible for the BMX160 to generate motion interrupts in with the accelerometer in low power mode? The datasheet seems to suggest that it can.

Hi,
Thanks for your inquiry.
BMX160 accelerometer any-motion interrupt should work in low power mode. If it works in normal mode, then you can write value of 0x88 to register 0x40 to set the acc_us bit and 100Hz ODR for example. Then you write value of 0x12 to command register 0x7E to switch to low power mode. If you want to go back to normal mode, then you can write the defalt value of 0x28 to register 0x40 for example according to page 64 of BMX160 datasheet.
Thanks.
