BNO055 9DOF IMU Driver

Hello,

After a while working with MPU6050 and other IMUs i decide to buy a German Quality Product the BNO055.It Works very well and without Problems.

I read the IMU Data and it says that the Driver Version is 1,i see on Github that there is a new Driver 2.x.Is any improvment over the Driver 1.0 if yes how can I Upload the new one?

Hello,

No i mean the Firmware in the BNO055 integrate MCU.I bought from Bluedot the BNO055 Modules and they say that Bosch deliver the BNO055 already with the Firmware Version 1 and that can nothing do about that...
The Problem is that the BNO055 is assembled on the PCB and Bluedot have not make the trace for the boot pin,the boot pin was direct connected to 3,3 Volt Powersupply.
I want to use the Interrupt Data Ready Register but this is possible judt with newer Firmware Versions on the BNO055..
Is there maybe another method to update the Firmwae or to buy the BNO055 with new Firmwares.

BNO055 was not recommended for new design, would like your design a new project with BNO055?

Hello,i tryed already the MPU6050 but i want some stable sensors and buy The BNO055.It work without problems but I have see that the Firmware Version on the IC was old and there are new one available...I'm Working in the Security Sector and I develop a Mobile Surveillance Robot that observe autonomous the Terrain of Houses etc.If are there better Sensors i can switch to new ones is not a issue.
Maybe you can suggest me newer one with 9 axis.I'm searching a better way to accomplische the actual Position of the Robot without GPS...Thanks!Regards Antonio
