BNO055 FW update

Hi, 

I am keen to update the firmware BNO055 sensors to the latest version using Bosch Development Desktop 2.0.

I tried to set the sensor in UART mode and connect it to a PC using a UART to USB dongle, but the software failed to find the sensor.

Is there anything more than Power, RX and TX pins required to be wired?

Which HW board you used? If you used BNO055 USB Stlck, there was application note for your reference.

Hello Robin, 

No, I am not using the BNO055 USB stick. I don't think if it's a good idea to use the BNO055 USB stick for upgrading the FW and then de-soldering the chip.

Currently, I am using one of the common breakout boards for BNO055 to communicate with the sensor (and hopefully upgrading the FW)

If that works I am gonna make a PCB that can operate the sensor as well as be able to upgrade the FW.

So, do you know how should I connect the pins?

There was BNO055  guide for flash new firmware in application note. But you must use the HW BNO055 USB stick.
