Hello,
My team would like to synchronize the data output from two BNO055 sensors. The intended application is a variable damping knee brace, one sensor will be on the upper leg and another will be on the lower leg. We need real-time synchronized data from the sensors to determine the angle kinematics (pos., vel., accel.) of the knee.
What is the best way to synchronize them?

For "one sensor will be on the upper leg and another will be on the lower leg", do you mean you place two BNO055 sensors on different HW boards? How do the sensors on the upper and lower leg exchange data?

We plan to use 2 breakout board BNO055s which feed into a microcontroller, the angular velocity and accel. of the two will be subtracted to get the kinematics of the knee, but we need to make sure that the data from the sensors is syncronized.

As your 2 breakout board BNO055s were connected to a microcontroller, you could record system time based on microcontroller RTC when you read sensor data.
