BNO055 acceleration range in Fusion mode limited to +-4G?

BNO055 datasheet table  3-8 Accelometer configurations says that G-range in Fusion-mode is auto controlled. What does this mean? Can we measure full range +-16g accelerations in Fusion-mode?

Hi Artoparikka,

Operating the BNO055 in any of the Fusion modes will change the Accelerometers range to 4G. The BNO055 currently doesn't support sensor fusion with the Accelerometer at 16G.

Thank you for fast reply! Do you have any other product that can measure 16G and calcultate euler angles and quaternions at the same time?

BHI160(+BMM150) does support the output of euler and quaternion data at any accelerometer range.

I would like to know if there is any update in the fusion mode that will allow at least 8g to be used during fusion mode

The datasheet in page 26 has the register for the range free of any restrictions, but on page 21 previously it says that the range is forced to 4g

I believe that page 26 should also say auto-controlled in fusion mode.

It would be nice if we can have the 8g range in fusion.
