I have a question about bno055 imu sensor , I wish to learn heading(Yaw) accuracy in fusion mode. I checked datasheet there writes about magnometre accuracy, but there is no information about fusion mode.. And the other question , should we do calibration first and then use Fusion NDoF Mode with Fast Magnetometer Calibration Off or should we use Sensor Fusion NDoF Mode for best accuracy for heading ? What should we do for achiving best accuracy of heading ?
Fusion algorithm BNO055 inside, users could get fusion output.
From "https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/media/boschsensortec/downloads/application_notes_1/bst-bno055-an007...." application note, if you want to use NDOF fusion mode, magnetometer calibration is mandatory immediately after every"power on reset" in order for sensor fusion to create accurate results. After magnetometer calibration by FMC, magnetometer calibration is 3. Then heading value had good accuracy.
