Can I load our own firmware on the BMX055 or on the BNO080?

Working on loading our firmware on either the BMX055 or the BNO080. Can it be done? Is there a special software tool I need to get it done?

Hi ajoe,

The BMX055 doesn't have a microcontroller. For programming custom firmware, you will need to use the BMF055. We are currently working on releasing additional documentation in the coming weeks to enable users to program their own BMF055 easily. Regarding the BNO080, it may be possible to override the firmware but it wouldn't be possible to revert back as the firmware for this product is not developed and maintained by Bosch Sensortec.
