Can the internal iPhone barometer sensor be utilized to detect that an iPhone has been submerged in liquid or water?

Thanks for your inquiry. When a smartphone has been submerge in liquid or water, the intenral pressure sensor data will change. But it is difficult to distinguish different situations for this kind of change. Combining humidity sensor data with pressure sensor data, it may be more reliable to detect if a smartphone is in water or liquid.
