Hello,
I'm wondering how you updated esp32 2.0.2?
C:\Users\aruns\AppData\Local\Arduino15\packages\esp32\hardware\esp32\2.0.2
Since Arduino IDE currenlty only has 1.0.6.
Could you downgrade and test again?
Or, please let me know how to download esp32 2.0.2
I will do from my side.
Thanks,
I'd like to mention clearly one more time just in case.
BME688 dev kit 8 array doesn't work for BSEC2.
Even after you can build correctly, you can't run on our board with bsec 2 example.
But, I will help you until you can build successfully. Then, you can use other ESP32 board like ESP32 WROOM.
Thanks,
I have teh floowing path in preferences in Arduino IDE:

I found ESP32 2.0.2 under board manager. snapshot below. However, I have removed 2.0.2 from my computer now and only use 1.0.6. I tested 1.0.6 as I still have the same failures from my last message. No change. Now I am trying to install from scratch on a different computer to test.
Yes, I understand that. I won't be using BME dev kit. I have a ESP32 feather board and BME688 adafruit board.

Let me know if you see any issues in this.
Yes, please try it with 1.0.6.
And could you let me know which bsec 2 version are you using it?
Please let me know when is the bsec2.cpp date in bsec 2 library and share your platform.txt for 1.0.6.
Thanks,
