Hi, I'm currently developping a autonomous navigation system for a small agricultural robot (for mechanical weeding).
I try to based my gps guidance on IMU and differential GPS (RTK). So i check bosch product and i find the BMI090L who seems to be made for precision agriculture.
The problem with this IMU is that he doesn't have a heading.
So i check other product and find the BNO055 who as heading but where nothing say that this product was made for agricultural robots.
So my question is :
- why the BMI090L is better in precision farming than the boi55 ?
- And do you have an idea how to achieve a guidance system without heading ?
- What are IMU sensors advise me?
Thanks for your help.

Hello DiaZ0te,
You mentioned BOI55, is it BMX055 or BNO055?
You could refer the following link with Bosch sensortech product overview. https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/media/boschsensortec/downloads/promotion_material/product-selector-e...

Hello DiaZ0te,
I think for your application, you should consider if you need heading first. If heading is necessary in your application, you could choose BNO055.
If heading is not necessary in your application, you could use BMI090L and BMI088. They target robots applications.
