Measure a vertical movement with a bmx-055.

Hi, 

I am looking for measure a vertical movement with a bmx-055. 

I know that it's not possible to measure a movement during a long time but i need to only measure a movement one time and go to the calibration after each measure.

In fact i have a box and on this box i have the bmx-055, this box is moving by a motor and i need to see the vertical movement in mm.
