Nicla nRF52832 softdevice update

Hi guys,

I'm wondering is there a way to change the softdevice of Nicla SENSE Me ANNA-B112? I'd like to try communicate with my Nicla board via ANT+ instead of BLE, but it's softdevice doesn't support ANT+. Does anyone has any experience with that? Is it possible to use Nicla DFU to upload a different softdevice?

Currently Nicla SENSE ME software haven't support ANT+.

Okay, but it's not really the answer to my question. I am wondering if having ANNA module in Nicla that has default softdevice for nRF52832 only with BLE can be replaced by softdevice that for instance can do both (visit thisisant.com). If yes, then how to do so. As far as I'm concerned the ANNA's softdevice is the problem because it does not support by default ANT+, only BLE. The nRF52832 chip itself should be capable of doing the communication, having been provided with the correct softdevice. But I do not know if I can flash such softdevice to Nicla's ANNA.

Hi Sneer,

Nicla Sense ME's software only supports BLE. Nordic 52832 itself supports BLE and other wireless protocols. If it needs to support wireless protocols other than BLE, it needs to be developed independently based on Nordic SDK.
