    Positioning of the BME680 sensor in a housing

    Hi, i am doing research how i'ts the best way to place the BME680 sensor in a housing. In the "Handling, Soldering and Mounting Instructions (Rev. 1.6 / BST-BME680-HS000-06) on page 10 there are a few placing hints. But there are also noted two other documents which would be helpful:

    1. BME680 integration guideline (BST-BME680-HS001-01) 

    2. Application Handbook (BST-BME680-AN016-02)

    I looked on the Bosch Sensortec Homepage and also in google, but I can't find anything. So I would like to know if you can give me a link for this two documents. If you have any other design/integration guidelines for placing the sensor in a box please post it too.

    Can we know the structure information of your product?
    And what is the environment in which your product is used?

    Hi BSTRobin,

    the sensor is placed together with a µC and connectors (for power and communication) on a small PCBA. The aim is to put the PCBA into a housing / box. Now we are looking for the best way to design openings into the box, that the deviation between air in the box (around the sensor) and the ambient air is minimal. 

    The environment is versatile and can't be specified too much. The box could be placed near a open window (much air flow) or could be placed in a room without much air flow (static air). 

    What about the named documents in my first post. Do you know where I can find them?

    For the placement, you could refer HSMI document. BME680 HSMI document could be downloaded from here: https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/media/boschsensortec/downloads/handling_soldering_mounting_instructi...

    For BST-BME680-AN016-02, it was not officially released.
