"Since the sensor is pre-programmed and executing code from flash, after turn-on, it can stream absolute orientation with only a few I²C commands"
My question: we installed a BNO055 on an electronic card, the factory delivers the cards directly to installers who install them in vehicles. How can you set the BNO055 on the production line without physically moving it, for the BNO055 to deliver absolute orientation with only à few I²C commands?
Thanks

The BNO055 contains internal sensors to measure the absolute orientation. It does not require production line calibration. Calibration happens at run time with the natural movement of the device.
When installing in vehicles however, the steel structure of the car may interfere with the magnetic sensor of the BNO055 making heading value less accurate. It is best to mount it far away from ferromagnetic meterials, such as steel in screws and cases, and cobalt in lithium-ion batteries.
