Hi Bosch Team,
We recently moved from bmi160 to bmi270. I accidently programmed a bmi270 board with the bmi160 firmware.
After reprogramming the board with the correct firmware (that contains the bmi270 driver), bmi270 is failing to initialise.
Do you think programming the bmi270 with the wrong driver would cause a permenant failure or can it recover?
Many thanks

Hi Katie,
Did you mean when you failed to download BMI270 config file, is there anyway to reboot correctly, right?
When you fail to download BMI270 config file, you need to do power sequence again.
Then, you can try to download the config file.
If you are asking, BMI270 can check wrong driver such as BMI160, the answer is yes.
When BMI270 boots up, BMI270 needs to read CHIP ID. And, BMI160 and BMI270 Chip ID are different.
Therefore, BMI270 will get some chip ID error.
Then, also you need to do power sequence again.
Thank you.
