I´ve recently come into a discussion with a PCB manufacturer because they assembled a BMP581 incorrectly, they rotated it 90 degrees to the right claiming that the first pin mark is the port hole of the device, could somebody at BOSCH release a BMP581 drawing that clearly mentions and signals the following parts of the chip: First pin marker, port holes, and to clear any confusions as to what exactly does the black dot on top of the package represents. Thank you!

Hi,
Thanks for your inquiry.
According to Figure 4 on page 8 of the BMP5xy handling, soldering and mounting document at https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/media/boschsensortec/downloads/handling_soldering_mounting_instructi..., the black dot on BMP581 package is pin-1 indicator and the port hole on the other edge of BMP581 package is used for BMP581 to measure the air pressure. If you flip BMP581 over you can see that the pin-1 triangle marker at the bottom of BMP581 chip is aligned with the black dot at the top of BMP581 package.
Please see the attached picture of BMP581 for more information. The black dot above the laser marking of "CC" is pin-1 indicator. The port hole is on the other edge of BMP581 package and has nothing to do with pin-1 indicator.
Thanks.

Thank you! Manufacturer was claiming the pin 1 indicator was the port hole, and assembled it incorrectly, thanks for clarifying
