I would like to use two BNO055s on a sailboat. One on the hull to measure vessel heading and attitude, and one on the mast to measure mast rotation.
The modules will be mounted in such a way that they are fixed together in the XY plane but separated by about .3m in the Z axis (one above the other). They can rotate independantly relative to each other on the Z axis. Both modules may have up to 20 degrees of movement around X or Y axis as the boat moves, but should move together. There should be little to no magnetic interference or electrical current anywhere near the
What would be the best mode to acomplish this? I was initially thinking COMPASS mode and just compare the headings.
How much accuracy can I expect? Will drift be a problem? Will the sesors drift in different ways?
Is there a good way to handle calibration?
