In my project i need to know how the BME680 messures temperature and humidity.
Does it work with PT100, a normal transisor?
I hope you can help me,
Kind regards Georg Lichtblau
Hi dil,
BME680 is a digital 4-in-1 sensor with gas, humidity, pressure and temperature measurement based on proven sensing principles.
You could get detailed information from official product page and data sheet.
https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/products/environmental-sensors/gas-sensors/bme680
https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/media/boschsensortec/downloads/datasheets/bst-bme680-ds001.pdf
If you only need temperature and humidity, you can refer to BME280 products, https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/products/environmental-sensors/humidity-sensors-bme280/
Hello,
Could you please tell the sensing principle of the VOC measurement? In the datasheet is only the term "based on proven sensing principles". But the scientific rule behind the measured value, should not be confidential. So can you tell me if it is a resistant measurement, a capacitive measurement or something else.
Greetings
Hi svessel,
As a raw signal, BME680 will output resistance values and its changes due to varying VOC concentrations (the higher the concentration of reducing VOCs, the lower the resistance and vice versa).metal oxide-based sensors such as BME680 can distinguish between reducing (decreasing sensor resistance) and oxidizing (increasing sensor resistance) environments.
