    1. Which BMI 323 bandwidth is correct?
    2. Is it possible to set the bandwidth to 1677Hz, how do I set it?
    3. How do I use higher bandwidth?
    4. Using Application Board 3.0 to measure and export development desktop software data, will it output accurately?

    thank you

    Hi,

    Thanks for your inquiry.

The BMI323 accel bandwidth is correct which is from 6.2H to 1677Hz. The output data rate on the home page is a typo. It should be from 12.5Hz to 6.4KHz, not from 12.5Hz to 1.6KHz. We will correct it in the near future.

When you set BMI323 accel output data rate (ODR) to 6.4KHz, the bandwidth is automatically set to 1677Hz. You don't need to do anything. The bandwidth is determined by the internal low pass filter. Any motion vibration frequency that is higher than 1677Hz will be filtered out. You can also enable data ready interrupt and map it to INT1 or INT2 interrupt pin. Then you can use oscilloscope or logic analyzer to see 6.4KHz pulses on that interrupt pin. This means that BMI323 accel is updating measurements at 6.4KHz. You may use SPI interface at 10MHz on your host processor to capture the data fast enough.

If you use APP3.0 base board, BMI323 shuttle board and DD2.0 GUI SW to log data into a file at 6.4KHz ODR, then it may be an issue of data loss in the file due to the limit of USB communication speed. You can check if you can get about 6400 data samples in the data log file at 1 second time period or not.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Thank you for pointing out the typo. Now the typo is fixed at https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/products/motion-sensors/imus/bmi323/.

    Thanks.
