bme688 carbon monoxide mentioned in datasheet but CO2 in the software

In the datasheet of the BME688 it is mentioned that the sensor can be used to measure carbon monoxide but in the library of BSEC the output is carbon monixide. Is the sensor measuring carbon dioxide or monixide ?

CO2 is measured by the BME688 and is outputted by default. U can use AI feature of the BME688 to train it for Carbon Monoxide

I am not sure if BME688 outputs CO2 by default. The precompiled BSEC library is needed for the CO2 output.

Can the AI feature be used to detect the presence of CO in the environment or the exact quantity of CO in the environment ?

1.As you download BSEC 2.x software from https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/software-tools/software/bme688-software/, in integration guide you could see BSEC library output equivalent CO2.
2. It couldn't get exact quantity of CO in the environment.

Other than CO2 the bme688 can be used to measure any other gas ?
