bme688 carbon monoxide mentioned in datasheet but CO2 in the software

In the datasheet of the BME688 it is mentioned that the sensor can be used to measure carbon monoxide but in the library of BSEC the output is carbon monixide. Is the sensor measuring carbon dioxide or monixide ?

In the table in the suggested actions column, it mentions avoid presence in the room and increase ventilation which confuses a little.

Also the IAQ is relative to which compound ? TVOC or O3 or PM 2.5 or PM 10 or NO2

Adding ventilation allows the sensor to record fresh air, which the algorithm needs as a reference.

The gas sensor can detect Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) and other gases such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen in the part per billion (ppb) range.
