Why the temperature and pressure measurements from BMPx or BMEx are always constant?

When I power on the BMPx or BMEx sensors I get constant measurements of temperature and pressure, can you please explain why?

After sensor power up,  the temperature and pressure oversampling parameters for BMPx and BMEx are skipped. That is the reason why they output constant data.

For temperature and pressure measurements, users need to follow the example flow chart shown in datasheet and API source code in Github (BMP280,  BMP388,  BME680  and BME280)

I have a BME680 Click board from MikroElektronika. My purpose is just to read Temperature & Pressure. My code polls the sensor every 6 min
